Emily Law

Emily grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Germantown from Richmond, Virginia with her husband, Richard, in 1996. Their children are Nigel (26) and Imogen (21). Emily is a freelance editor with a focus on nursing-related content, was formerly a freelance illustrator, and was baptized at St. Martin’s in 2005. What first drew Emily to St. Martin’s was its warm welcome to her as a stressed mother with young children. Being able to sing in the choir was an unexpected gift and has been an ongoing joy; Emily also greatly enjoys being a lector and has been a greeter and was active in the Refugee Resettlement Ministry. Emily felt honored to be nominated to serve on the Vestry and continues to be grateful for the friendships made, lessons learned, inspiration received, and gift of service opportunities she has experienced at St. Martin’s, both on and off the Vestry.
