Dani Reed

Danielle Reed joined St Martin's in 1990, the year after she married her husband, Michael Tordoff. She has served St Martin's on the Stewardship Committee for several years, is an Usher, a Lector, and a member of the Flower Guild. She is the Chief Science Officer at the Monell Chemical Senses Center. This non-profit research institution studies taste and smell, and is located near the University of Pennsylvania in University City. She is a geneticist with training in psychology and neuroscience, as well as interests in facilities management and operations. She has two adult children. Her son, John Tordoff, works for the Center for Open Science as a software developer. He is about to be married to McCall Carter, a lawyer at the United Nations in New York City. Her daughter, Jesse Tordoff, is a computer scientist and biologist who works for Arbor Therapeutics in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is married to Samuel Foster, a Ph.D. student in the English department at Harvard. Danielle (Dani) is a bicyclist with experience riding in Russia, China, and Portugal. She loves to swim, practice yoga, walk in her neighborhood, and dance.Â
