“The Nuns, the Priests and the Bombs” Event

Members of our faith community are invited to a free viewing of the documentary, “The Nuns, the Priests and the Bombs,” on Saturday, January 28, 2023, beginning 1:30 pm at Chestnut Hill College.
The event is co-sponsored by the Institute for Forgiveness and Reconciliation at Chestnut Hill College, and the Catholic Peace Fellowship of Philadelphia. The film describes the nuclear threat facing humanity. This threat has been heightened by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
The film also explores the Plowshares movement. The movement comprises religious sisters, priests and laypeople who enter military installations to conduct nonviolent, symbolic civil disobedience in protest of nuclear weaponry.
The documentary viewing will be followed by a panel-audience discussion (question and answer session). Panel members will include some of the Plowshares activists who are featured in the film.
