Sustain Scholarships for School Children in Our Guatemala Companion Parish
On June 5th, St. Martin’s Companion Parish Committee began the campaign for the 25th year of the scholarship program to enable Guatemalan school children to attend school. We are accepting your pledges or donations for full scholarships of $550 and partial scholarships in any increment of $25 for school year 2023.
Education is a crucial part of breaking the cycle of poverty, for it creates the foundation for human, economic and community development. Without your help, these children would not be able to go to school There is no free education in Guatemala and many families do not have the resources to pay for school fees, books, supplies, uniforms, transportation, and lunches. The recent surge in gasoline prices has caused all costs in Guatemala to soar. With some classes still being held virtually, parents face increased internet expenses. So we ask for your support to help the families of San Juan Apostol to enable their children to have an education and a bridge to a better future.
