As members of the Body of Christ, we can turn to the assurance of salvation through Him. But what exactly is this salvation we are promised, and how do we embrace it? While the author of Philippians tells us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, no such apprehension is needed for this Lenten discussion. Please join us after Compline during three Wednesday nights in Lent as we look beyond the golden streets that we may have pondered in Sunday School.
“O God, whose blessed Son came into the world that he might destroy the works of the devil and make us children of God and heirs of eternal life: Grant that, having this hope, we may purify ourselves as he is pure; that, when he comes again with power and great glory, we may be made like him in his eternal and glorious kingdom; where he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.”
This discussion group will be led by Bonnie Hoffman-Adams. In pre-COVID times, Bonnie led a class about sin, and has prepared these sessions as Part II of that topic. Please sign up in advance for this Zoom event.
