Dear Members & Friends of the Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields,
I am so pleased to officially introduce the Fairmount String Quartet as St. Martin's Resident Ensemble!
Beloved by all who have heard them, Beth Dzwil, Leah Kyoungwoon Kim-Tomilson, Rachel Segal, and Mimi Morris Kim (left to right in the above picture) are the newest additions to our music ministries and we are very excited to be working together in this partnership!
This is a truly significant moment for our music ministries. A wonderful step in building our music programs outward and a great way to help build our congregation, outreach, and community through music and the Arts.
The Fairmount Quartet will perform no fewer than six times at St. Martin's in services and concerts. St. Martin's members will receive a 20% discount to FSQ's ticketed concerts.
Alongside these performances, we will also welcome our new resident ensemble to perform in our Summer Concert Series, and you will hear their music throughout the week as they will use some of our spaces for rehearsal. Please extend a warm welcome when you see them around!
During this time of many transitions at St. Martin's, I am so grateful to be leading a growing and flourishing music program! We have a truly exciting program year ahead (more details soon)!
After our wonderful Summer Sunday musicians, our Chorister Children's Choir program will relaunch September 8, our fabulous Choir of St. Martin's will return to our worship on September 11, and we will celebrate all our musicians in their ministries in a special Music Gala Concert followed by a reception on Sunday, October 2, at 5pm. Mark your planners!
I continued to be immensely grateful for your support of our music ministries at St. Martin's, whether you volunteer your time, efforts, compliments, or financial gifts. All the above and so much more are very much appreciated by me and all who participate and benefit from our music programs and its outreach. Thank you.
