From the Rector's Warden: Introducing the Rev. James H. Littrell

I am so delighted that our celebration for the Rev. Jarrett Kerbel went so beautifully. Special thanks to Cathy Glazer and Debra Roberts for organizing the wonderful reception. More thanks to the people who cooked and set-up and made sure the tables looked festive and the food on them tasted great. Jarrett felt loved and appreciated as we bid him farewell.
I am also delighted to introduce the Rev. James (Jim) H. Littrell who will be our Sunday Missioner priest. Father Jim Littrell will preside at Sunday services and provide some pastoral care from now until July 17th. We feel especially lucky to have him with us over the next couple months as we move forward into our next chapter. If anyone has a request for a funeral, baptism or marriage, please contact Father Jim at 215-219-1662. Otherwise, you'll be hearing directly from him on Sunday services and seeing him on the grounds wearing a collar. Please, say hello with welcome arms. You'll also be hearing more about him in Field Notes next week.
Also, if anybody has had the blessing of meeting with the Rev. Sharline A. Fulton, a long-time pastoral prayer provider at St. Martin's, she is again available to assist anybody in need of pastoral care upon request. Her phone is 215-283-7342.
And if you think you may want to seek some pastoral care and aren't sure what you're looking for or have a question, please call the office and we'll help you sort it out.
>Meanwhile, the vestry is interviewing potential interim candidates. As we meet them and make more progress, we'll let you know. Remember, it could take months to call to the right interim for St. Martin's.
Finally, as always, feel free to call or email me at 917-687-5298 or [email protected] with any questions or concerns.
Barbara Thomson Previdi
Rector's Warden
Vestry Class of 2023. Barbara has been a member of St. Martin's for over 15 years. She has chaired the forum committee, co-led youth pilgrimages to South Dakota, and sat on the community engagement committee. Barbara and her husband have been raising their sons (16 and 21) and building our spiritual lives while trying to manage the pressures of our professions, kids' lives, and other family relationships. Barbara is an attorney with a specialty in public transit transactions, with 30 years of hands-on experience leading government projects. She has found that the keys to her success have been respect and listening to each other so all can better understand our differences and find a common way forward. Barbara’s favorite hobby is taking long walks/hikes to settle her soul and following it up with coffee and laughter with a friend. Barbara has been blessed with the many wonderful people in her life she has met through services, activities, and prayer at St. Martin's, and she is honored to serve on the vestry.
