Episcopal Community Services Back to School Drive

September 16, 2020
ECS “Back To School Drive” is online this year!
St. Martin’s has been an active participant each year with the backpack and school supply drive for Episcopal Community Services. The need this year, although a bit different, is as important as ever. Our St. Martin’s community has always been generous with our support and, this year, ECS is making it easy to donate to the cause.
This year will be different. With direction from the Philadelphia School District, the ECS staff from their “Out Of School Time” (OST) program will be supporting Philadelphia School District’s social distance learning at seven access centers throughout the city.
Children will still need school supplies as well as PPE gear. This year we will be going completely virtual with our drive and using Amazon Back to School Wish-list (click here). Just click on the link, select the items you want to purchase, and off to ECS they will go.
We also are giving you the option to donate $15.00 for a “Kits for Kidz” – a safe way to manage school supplies this year. Each child will receive a kit filled with basic learning materials. Visit www.ECSPHILLY.org/donate and type “Kits for Kidz” in the “Comments” section to submit your donation. ECS hopes to have 300 kits to share with the children.
If you have any questions about the program or the links, please contact Avyane Osborne at Episcopal Community Services: 215.351.1466 / [email protected]
Take this opportunity to support Philadelphia area kids and to show our great St. Martin’s generosity!
Sincerely,
Dorrie Schenkel and Taylor Anderson
