Climate Action Team

St. Martin's has long been focused on and involved with climate issues. Our Climate Action Team has organized direct service programs, advocacy opportunities, and training in support of these issues. For several years we were closely connected with Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light (PAIPL), and we are taking steps to grow that relationship. With the momentous challenges of the pandemic and transition within St. Martin's, the Climate Action Team also sustained significant turnover.


To borrow Coach Siriani's metaphor, we are planting a seed anew at St. Martin's and seeking similarly inclined parishioners who enjoy direct service and advocacy opportunities in support of climate issues. We are planning "dirty hands" events on the grounds of St. Martins, to include composting and gardens, and we strongly value the participation of all ages and abilities. The Climate Action Team typically meets on the third Thursday of the month, but we are fertile ground for change. If you'd like to join please email Eric Borgstrom at [email protected].
