To Friends & Supporters of PA IPL,
Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light, with support from St. Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church, is proud to present an important community event this June when we host an Exclusive Screening and Live Panel Discussion of the newly released award-winning documentary 8 BILLION ANGELS..
The event is a great opportunity for you, your family, and friends to learn more about an issue of critical importance to the future of our planet.
Today, humanity’s demand for resources vastly exceeds nature’s ability to supply them. Food, water, climate, and extinction emergencies are unfolding before our eyes. 8 BILLION ANGELS documents the conflict between the size of our global population and the sustainability of our planet. It dispels the misperceptions that technology alone can save us, that reducing consumption is the only answer, and that the blame lies solely in the developing world. Using dramatic cinematography and incisive narration and analysis, the film takes the viewer on an immersive and emotional journey into the lives of farmers, fisherman, and others as they witness an unfolding global crisis. It inspires real solutions toward lasting sustainability and a better quality of life for all Earth’s inhabitants.
