What do we seek in our rector?

As we seek to deepen our love for one another and carry on God’s work in the world, we desire someone who will help us continue to discern God’s call to us. We seek a person with deep personal faith who will lead us in prayer and preside over a stirring liturgy. We take delight in strong preaching that brings the readings alive and stimulates our minds and souls.

There is a yearning in the parish to buckle down and get to work on the things that need doing. In these current economic times both parishioners and the parish are facing challenges and difficult decisions. We are looking for someone who will help energize us, sharpening our awareness of our ministry, and sparking our creativity.

Our numerous parish ministries are filled with dedicated, hard-working people serving and helping others, and they, too, need nurturing to continue their work. We seek someone who will shepherd these ministers and inspire others to serve.

We’re seeking a rector who will be a good steward of our parish, someone who weaves administrative talents with pastoral qualities of care and devotion. We hope this person will joyfully come into our parish with all its strengths and foibles and help us grow into the fullness of God.
